POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH develops innovative transportation systems that redefine access to space for payloads and passengers. We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Vehicle Systems Engineer (m/f/d).
Your mission
- System Design of a two-stage winged hypersonic UAV
- Responsible for development, design, configuration management, testing and manufacturing plans
- Handling of mass, power and electrical budgets of a hypersonic UAV
- Responsible for ensuring compliance of design and detailed hardware with requirements
- Support in interface and requirements management and definition
- Support in Mission Analysis
- Depending on qualification, leading small teams of 3-5 people possible
Your profile
- Successfully completed aerospace, mechanical or systems engineering degree (M.Sc./M.Eng.)
- 3-4 years of experience as aircraft systems engineer in reputed aerospace companies
- Extensive and inter-disciplinary knowledge across all aerospace engineering fields
- Experience with CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor or PTC CREO)
- Basic programming skills in python, C/C++
- Extensive and inter-disciplinary knowledge across all aerospace engineering fields
- Excellent analytical and interdisciplinary skills
- fluent English, German desirable
- Proactive mindset, high level of motivation, flexibility, perseverance, and ability to work in a team
- Work experience in a start-up environment is an advantage
