POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH develops innovative transportation systems that redefine access to space for payloads and passengers. We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of a Rocket Engine DAQ, Control & Power Engineer (m/f/d).

Your mission

  • Design, develop, and maintain data acquisition (DAQ), control, and electrical power systems for rocket engine testing and operation
  • Define system architectures for instrumentation, signal conditioning, real-time control, and low-voltage power distribution
  • Specify, integrate, and validate sensors, actuators, controllers, power supplies, and distribution components
  • Design and maintain electrical power distribution for DAQ and control systems
  • Implement control logic, safety interlocks, power sequencing, and emergency shutdown functions
  • Develop and maintain control, automation, and test software for engine and test bench operation
  • Ensure reliable, synchronized, and high-quality data acquisition during hot-fire and system tests
  • Support test campaign preparation, execution, and post-test data analysis
  • Troubleshoot DAQ, control, and power-related issues during integration and testing
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including electrical schematics, I/O lists, power budgets, and procedures

Your profile

  • Degree in  Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc./M.Eng.) or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience
  • Experience with DAQ, control, and low-voltage power systems in test benches or safety-critical environments
  • Strong understanding of sensors, signal conditioning, and real-time data acquisition
  • Experience with control systems, PLCs, real-time controllers, or embedded systems
  • Knowledge of electrical power distribution, grounding, protection, and EMI/EMC considerations
  • Proficiency in control and automation software
  • Experience with test instrumentation, power supplies, and electrical integration is a plus
  • Familiarity with rocket engines and high pressure cryogenic fluid systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
